Are They Even Worth It?

#Life

Have you ever gotten seriously ill as a result of worrying over things that you have no control over?

Now, have you found yourself worrying over what people think of you? Why they act the way they do towards you? Why you do everything right but it isn't just good enough? Why this? Why that?

Many a times we worry about the things people do or the things they say. Why does he or she walk like this? Does he think he is the only
handsome guy here or is she the only beautiful girl here? Is he or she the only hardworking staff in this organisation? Or you worry why your partner feels you aren't good enough and compares you to another. Or certain people just hate you for no just course.

Many a times we worry ourselves by comparing ourselves to others. We compare our success rate to that of others.
The bottom line here is this...You are worrying over things that you shouldn't even give a second thought to.

The reason is this as we made mention in this POST, the opinions of people are like the wind. It will come and go and many a times, their opinion will have no direction at all.

People will always talk. If you decide to move locations...there are people who will still have an opinion. Remember the wind is everywhere? Let their opinions be like wind to you.

You worry how tomorrow will be for you. You worry if you do this what will people say or think of you. You worry if your best will ever be good enough... And the list goes on.

The bottom line as we made mention earlier is that you are worried. And the end result to worrying is sickness. The simple truth is that, they are some sicknesses caused by worrying that can never be cured. You just have to keep on visiting the doctor and taking your drugs.

You ofcourse don't want that.

So, what do you do you ask? Just be yourself...not just yourself but the best version of yourself.

If you want to do something. Just do it. If you have anything to say, just say it. Work on yourself and if someone feels you are not good enough. *Smiles* That's the person's loss because Jesus saw that you were good enough and you are worth dying for hence the reason for Him dying on the cross for you.

The question now is this, is it even worth it? Are they even worth it?

A popular saying goes thus: no one is worth your tears cos the one who is worth it will never make you cry.

The answer is this, no one or nothing is worth you worrying or troubling yourself over because your health is at stake. If you worry, your situation won't change neither will it stop people from talking.

So STOP!

STOP and just hand EVERYTHING over to God.

Talk to Him about everything. Even the things you think are so silly. Talk to Him about them.

Always make positive declarations about your situation. It gives you peace of mind that tomorrow is in the hands of the best person for the job.

Hand those whose actions trouble your soul over to Him and go to sleep.

No one and nothing is worth you crying yourself to sleep or withdrawing your sleep for.

Relax and just be yourself.

Relax and just do you

  1. Hi Chidinma,
I have been following you blog for a while, and I love your consistency.
On worry, personally I see it as a waste of time and mental energy. It doesn't earn one any reward. I understand, as part of our frailty as humans, we tend to get into the ocean of worry at one point or the other in our lives, but we should always have it in mind that worrying does not worth the time and attention we give to it.
    Thanks.
