Friday Inspirations: Tell No One Your Plans

#FridayInspirations

In life there are certain things that requires the effective and efficient use of wisdom. This is not to say that wisdom should only be applied in some aspects of your life and ignored in others, NO. Wisdom ought to be applied in every area of our lives but specific areas needs the application of more wisdom.

Like the picture above clearly said, keep your love life, income and next move or plans private. Everyone around you might seem friendly and lovely but it takes someone who is observant, wise and more so calculated to know that despite everyone's ''act'' (because not everyone's action is real) certain things are not to be revealed. Especially your next move. Why? Because they might use it against you. Confused? Don't be, the below example of this great man will shock you.
Not so long ago I read something that shocked, inspired and rendered me speechless at the same time. I said even Jesus did this? Wow! So many things to learn from this great God when He was on earth.

Please read the below carefully and focus more on verse 5

1
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2
Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand.
3
His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.
4
For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, show thyself to the world.
5
For neither did his brethren believe in him.
6
Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.
7
The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
8
Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
9
When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.
But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

What did you learn from what you just read? Jesus used wisdom to answer His brethren when they persuaded Him to go to the feast. Deep down, He knew what He would do which was to go to the feast but because He knew (noticed or observed the countenance of His brethren) they didn't trust Him and might even set Him up to be killed, He used wisdom to answer them.

Sometimes, when we are pushed in a tight corner by people to reveal our plans or next move or something private, always know that wisdom is needed to respond.

Now let me ask you this question, when something private about a celebrity is leaked to the press or media, what do you always see that comes with the exclusive? A source close to the celebrity said right? Now, when the celebrity told these private and sensitive things to this trusted person, did he or she ever believe that this said person will use the information against him or her some day?

The thing is, you are never sure who is who or who will betray you. That's why it is always important to be extra careful what you tell people or what comes out of your mouth in general... because you just never know.

Always act like a duck. On the surface seem calm and composed but deep down you know what you are doing, let your actions speak for you.

  1. Hmmm...Funny enough, My bro was just telling me something like this a few days ago. You shouldn't tell everyone your plans bcause they might discourage you and you would never get anywhere in life. Very true.

  2. It might seem selfish but it's true. Besides, telling people your next move drains out the motivation and energy from you. You become so relaxed but when done in private you would want to achieve more

  3. Inspiring. I was gonna oppose this when I only read the headline considering the powerful program I listen to on Channels today (really learnt a lot). It's quite different from the subject matter anyway.
