12 Unbelievable & Shocking Facts About How Animals Sleep

Animals are beautiful to behold. Some animals are beautiful to behold from a distance cos of fear of becoming a victim of their deadly attack while some animals are beautiful to behold in your arms or in their company.
However, we sometimes or should I say most times pay less attention to how animals sleep. You will be amazed to discover the unbelievable and shocking ways of how some animals sleep.

Otters sleep on their back and holding hands, for fear of having to float away. 

Giraffe sleep, curling their head to relax on its body or on the floor


During the day, Cats sleep for 13 to 14 hours and then stay awake/roam around at night

African Papio Baboons do sleep when they are running or on the move to avoid predators. 

Horses can sleep while standing. However, they do not go deep into their sleep until they lie down
P.S- Same goes for cows


Desert Snails can sleep for 3 years. 

While at flight, an Albatoss do/can sleep

Bats usually sleep upside down, so that their predators won't know they are there and so that they can take off at any point in time. 

Ants sleep for 1.1 minutes, 253 times in a day. 

Dolphins sleep with half of their brains awake while the other half is sleeping
