A wise one once said ''life is ironic. It takes sadness to know happiness, noise to appreciate silence and someone's absence to value their presence''.
Yes life is beautiful. Yes life is filled with many glorious things. To many, life is heaven on earth. But when you look deep down into life, you will realise that life is filled with many ironies. Ironies that we most times never gave thought to or never even realised.
The sad truth about life is that:
- ''Some are trying to lose weight while some are starving'' (copied).
- Some are in a mansion and complain of heat while some have no roof over their heads.
- Some drop out of school because to them ''school is hard'', ''school is not their thing'' or they have someone to take care of their financial needs while some work 3 jobs just to be in school or will do anything to stay in school.
- Some are trying to take away their lives or have taken away their lives while some are fighting for their lives at various intensive care units.
- Some shop for shoes every opportunity they get while some are suffering from severe leg injuries as a result of their inability to afford a pair of shoe/sandals.
- Some engage in water battles or waste water while some will be the happiest souls on earth if a drop of water can touch their tongues.
- Some have millions of clothes yet unworn but shop daily for more clothes while some cover their nakedness with paper bags or rags or do not have anything to cover their nakedness.
-Some abort their unwanted children at will while some will give anything in the world to have a child.
- Some disrespect or disregard their parents or wish their parents were dead while some will do anything to know their parents are or to see their parents again.
- Some hate their siblings with perfect hatred while some will do anything to have a sibling or see their dead/lost sibling again.
- Some lavish money at will while some need a penny to survive.
...and the list goes on and on.
Life as said earlier is beautiful (a post on that here > chidinmainspirations.blogspot.com/2014/09/life-is-beautiful.html?spref=tw …) but also filled with many ironies. The question is, will you be an agent of change? Will you help be an agent to help change some of these ironies the best you can?
Like the Late Micheal Jackson said in one of his songs Man In The Mirror ''
I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish
Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not
Above all, are you grateful for what you have?
