Hello Beautiful People!
Welcome to another talk on In House Round Table Talk! Today's topic is on cooking. Everyone says or it is popularly known that a lady or a young lady must learn or know how to go before she is married. Please what is your take on it? I humbly need you views to make today's In House Round Table Talk an interactive one.
Do you think a lady should know how to cook before she is married?
This episode is to inspire us to educate ourselves on this issue. To inspire ourselves how of great importance it is to cook or not to cook. To inspire and educate our younger ones the importance of cooking. To inspire people from wealthy homes who are been cooked for the importance of cooking.
My View
I feel, it is important for a lady to know how to cook before she is married because the only way to a man's heart is his tummy. But contrary to this believe, there are many homes that the couple have been married for years and the wife cannot cook and they are in love as ever.
Personally I feel if a man is always eating out or always going to restaurants to eat, it is an insult on his wife and on his home. I might be so wrong.
The truth is, there are many recipes that I myself do not know how to cook but I am always willing to learn. I come from a home where my parents see it as a necessity for their daughters to learn and know how to cook.
These are my views though.
My dear readers, please what is your view on this topic. Please share them with us let us inspire one another. Do not worry, your views will be greatly respected and appreciated.
Please also invite your friends and loved ones to join in this talk.

What would a lady be doing that she can not cook? It laughable to say the fact.i learnt to cook at About 10,11 because my mum was a busy woman and her niece staying with us then would flog me,to come stay with her in the kitchen,I will pound pepper.open maggi and do other little things for her.Gradually I started boiling rice, cooking yam.and today I can cook well,I even learn to cook other delicacy. What am trying to say is that we should train our kids in right way when they are young.and they grow up knowing the right things to do both in cooking and house chores.Every woman should know how to cook, there are men that when u taste their food, haha even you wen be woman go shame.(lol) so men are not left out .sorry for my long story .
ReplyDeletePlease don't apologise for your long view on this topic. It is your view dear and thus it must be respected.
DeleteI truly respect and appreciate your view on this topic dear.
Nice reply Anthonia, every lady is suppose to know how to cook, please how hard could that be?
DeleteP.S: hope you aren't married? I might be falling for you already #winks
Paulo. LOL. No be only fall. You go stand. Hehe.
DeleteIn as much as I respect the LADIES IN THE TABLE's opinion, There's really no talk on this topic because no woman in her right senses will say NO to this, the topic would have probably be more lively if the question was twisted. Like; should men cook for their wife/family when they returned from work before their wives? Or something more controversial.
Well done Antholinaaa.
I am of the view that a lady should be able to cook before marriage. If my fiancee[currently I've got non] can't cook, I'll simply teach her how to before we wed, I'll approach her with the idea in a reasonable manner so as not to hurt her emotions, that way she'll be willing to learn and it won't lead to argument or sprout little feeling of hatred in her mind.
ReplyDeleteAwww... Frank I respect and appreciate your view on this topic. Men like you are rare. More grease to your elbow dear.
DeleteFrank, you are a joker. And trust me when I say you are deceiving yourself. We are all Africans and no Africa man accept that view of yours. Even if you do, remember that when you marry a wife, she's not just your woman only, but your FAMILIES'. You know what I mean?! Besides, how much of cooking do you know that you can teach her? And you think she will win your mom's heart with the lesson she received from you? Answer me NWAN TEACER.
DeleteNow let me tell you this: A woman who can't cook, I mean an Africa woman who can't cook will lag behind in marriage. Meaning she can't take good care of you or the family. By the way, how did she grow the years she's lived????
Abeg, forget am Frank.

You don't think she would be stupid, do you? If I teach that which I know, which would suffice pretty much before we marry, you think she wouldn't deem it fit to go learn how to prepare so many other tasteful dishes? C'mon! Guys! Y'all had better start dumping this mean africa mentalities toward ladies, she doesn't need to impress my mum with cooking, all she got to do is be of good attitude, that's all I want! A heart that loves me in the body of a lady with good character. Others requirement would just have to fit in, ain't marrying her for my mom, and her cooking would definitely please me, let alone unborn children.
DeleteI can't find my comment,
ReplyDeleteSorry dear. Just publishing comments now. Had a busy day.
DeleteEvery lady, I mean almost all ladies should have the knowledge if cooking before even thinking of marriage, does she expect us to eat out or eat junks all the time? The willrs will say the way to a man's heart igoodrfoodod food, prefer prefer she goes to cooking school and learn how to do little dishes and put food home made on our table. Will say it with love and am sure every reasonable lady will be glad to learn.
ReplyDeleteIf I can cook what excuse does my future wife has?
Nice view you got there dear.
