Does Saying ''I Love You'' Genuinely Mean True Love? Let's Talk

#Inspiration #InHouseRoundTableTalk

Hello Beautiful People!

Welcome to this week's In house table talk!  You can check out our last interactive talk here >>> Should A Girl Keep Her Virginity Before Marriage Or Not? Let's Talk in case you missed it.

Before I start I would love to say that I am so sorry that I couldn't publish Day 3 of the 30 days challenge of Keep Your Hands Off Your Face! I was caught up in something.
Please kindly note that Day 3 and Day 4 of the 30 days challenge will be published together.

Back to the post. Okay guys, I want us to talk. Does saying ''I Love You'' really mean true love? When someone tells you they love you, do you think they genuinely love you?

This post is aimed at inspiring pretty much all of us. The men, the women, the guys, the ladies, the boys and the girls. This post is aimed at inspiring those who are about to enter into the wrong relationship because of the mere mention of I Love You.

This post is meant to be an eye opener to those who feel unloved but cannot really place their hands on exactly what is wrong. This post is meant to inspire those that are about to enter into a relationship and those that are already in one.

So my dear readers, I need your help to make this post very interactive and inspiring. Some how, some way, there is someone's life that we might change cos of this.

My View On The Topic.
Personally, I feel the word ''love''  has been so much underrated. Everyone uses the word I love you, without even meaning it. Anyone can say these 3 words without meaning it.  When you ask, please what does I love you even mean? Many say, I don't know, all I know is that I have feelings for him/her or I want to be with that person badly.

The sad truth is that many get heart broken because of just these 3 words. Many have entered into the wrong relationships because of these 3 words. Many a times, guys say these words to ladies to trap girls into a relationship or to sleep with them and vice versa.

Does saying ''I love you'' genuinely mean true love? My answer is NO!
If you look closely, many have replaced love for lust. Many have ulterior motives when they say these 3 words. You ask yourself, does this person know me enough to love me? Does this person care to know about me, the real me? Does this person want to hear from me often to say he/she loves me? How long have I known this person for him/her to say I love you? Does this person enjoy my company enough to say I love you? Does this person know and understand my flaws enough to love me? Does this person appreciate my flaws enough to love? When he/she says he/she loves me, what does he/she mean? Does he/she want to get something from me that is why he/she is saying these words? etc

I feel people in a relationship shouldn't say ''I Love You'' until they genuinely mean it, so that when they say it, it becomes something special and treasured. I feel asking someone out, doesn't mean you should say these words because you don't know the person enough to love them.

Can you take a bullet for someone? Can you willingly give an important organ of yours to that person you are saying I LOVE YOU to and not think twice about it? If YES, then you understand what TRUE LOVE means, if NO, then you really shouldn't be saying these 3 words.

At the end of the day, I might be wrong and my opinions might be far different from yours. Please may I hear your views. Don't worry, your views will be humbly appreciated and respected.

I can't wait to hear from you.

Yours Truly,
Chidinma

  1. My answer too is "NO",i love you does not mean true love...you can only 'like" him/her,i love you at first sight is not a true love, you like him/her cos of he wears or what she wears...you can like him/her cos of the perfume she is wearing or he is wearing.
You can only love him or love her as time goes on,after you know who he/she is,after you know what he/she is capable of doing etc, then you can say I LOVE YOU.....but love at first sight??? ko Jo rara ati rara! lol

    2. Some how, I disagreed with your points. Love at first sight?? Yes, it happens. That's what I call natural emblem. First attraction, them you further develop and cherish the chub.

    2. Dear Anonymous, it's never possible not to say it even when we don't mean it. We are all at some time ridden by emotions which transcend into infatuation. On the other hand, even when you say and mean it, it doesn't all count every second. And that's where feelings come in.
In conclusion, let's always look deep and beyond the ordinaries when we say; I LOVE YOU.
      Cheers.

  4. The word "I love you" is now like a national anthem, every body sings it but not every one does what it says. It's highly underrated like you said.

Saying I love you does not in any way means the person saying it really is in love. We only just act as if we believe who ever says it, and just act normal.

Thanks for such a great topic, been busy since should have visited since.
