The Most Important Job In The World

All we desire from life is to prosper in our various occupations, be it as a teacher, doctor, accountant, engineer, artist, business men and women amongst others. But many a times we fail to understand that the most important job in the world is being a parent. Taking care of your children, being there for your children, spending time with them, understanding them, paying attention to them, giving them a voice, knowing their strengths and weaknesses amongst others.

Many a times, when parents are not there for there for their children or when they (the children) cannot confide in their parents, they start confiding in their teachers or school mates/class mates. There is nothing wrong with this and at the same time, there is everything wrong with this. This is because, if care is not taken, they (the children) might be misled with wrong advice. A child's first friend should be his/her parents. A child's first confidant should be his/her parents. Parents most times tries to be a friend to their children and forgets to be a parent.
It is of utmost importance to be a parent first and then a friend. Discipline your child when he/she goes wrong.

According to research, children who bullies other children in school starts from home or has everything to do with their various homes or where they are coming from. This might be as a result of not been understood, not been given a voice or not been heard or been given the required/necessary attention or not been there as a whole. According to research, what the bullies need the most is attention, love and care. If not, something worse can happen if care is not taken.

The truth is, children majorly listen to the actions of their parents or guardian not their words. They follow the examples or foot steps of their parents. The question every parent needs to ask themselves is, am I being a good example to my children? Are my children learning the right or wrong thing from me? Will I be a proud parent when I hear of the things my children do outside or when I'm not there? If your answer is YES, then keep doing what you do best. If NO or MAYBE or NOT SURE, then I guess it is time to step up your game. Also, the best way to be a good parent or to train your child in the right way, is to ask God Almighty for His help and guidance.

There is one thing parents or soon to be parents need to understand, children are from God. Children are God's properties while parents/guardians are just helping God take care of His children. And in the end, parents will give account to God on how they trained His (God's ) children.

 
The greatest job on earth and the most important job in the world is being a parent. Of course your various careers requires your attention but your child/children needs your attention the more.
