Foods That Help In Fighting Flu

Flu is an infectious disease. It is mostly contacted during rainy reason or during winter or when the weather is cold in general. Flu drains ones strength and energy resulting in one being very inactive. If the flu/cold is also giving you headache, here are foods that help in fighting headache >>>  It is great to know that aside from taking medicine to help fight flu, there are foods that can also help fight flu. I

Below are a list and a little explanation of flu fighting foods:



Ginseng root- This is commonly known as America ginseng. It is an herb that helps in boosting ones immune system. It also helps reduce stress amongst others. But I guess you never knew that ginseng root helps fight flu right? Now you know. *Smiles*

Cinnamon- Cinnamon is used when preparing foods that are sweet and savoury. It is also known to be among the world healthiest foods. I guess it has never crossed your mind that cinnamon can also be used to fight flu right?

Cayenne Pepper- This pepper helps improve the aroma and taste in one’s food. It is also among the world healthiest foods. Cayenne pepper helps fight sore throat and high blood pressure. Cayenne pepper is also used as an herbal remedy for fighting many sickness and diseases in the body, including flu.

Turmeric- This is known to be among the world healthiest foods. It is used in making curry seasoning. Turmeric is also used as a powerful anti-inflammatory medicine. It is also one of the flu fighting foods available to man.

Berries- Everyone / most people love berries. When next you are eating them, do have it in mind that you are eating a fruit that helps fight flu.

Cloves- This is among the healthiest foods in the world. Cloves serve as a remedy to stomach upset, bad breath, diarrhoea amongst others. Cloves are also known to be among the flu fighting foods. So whenever you’ve got flu be sure to have some.

Strawberries- Awesome fruit! Study shows that strawberries help in teeth whitening. Strawberries are also used in making snacks like shortcake amongst others. But I guess you never knew that strawberries help in fighting flu right?

Honey- This is a sweet food. It can be substituted for butter when eating bread or for sugar when drinking tea. Honey is a healthy food. It helps in smoothing ones skin. It is an energy boosting food. It also helps fight bacteria and flu.

Garlic- Garlic is commonly used in cooking. It improves the aroma and taste in a meal. Garlic also serves as a remedy for flu.  

Spinach- Spinach is among the world healthiest foods. It is a food mostly served during winter. When cold or flu strikes, please do serve yourself some spinach.

Onions- Onions is known to be among the world healthiest foods. Onions improves the aroma and taste in one’s food. The regular intake of onions helps fight many sickness and diseases including flu.

Ginger- One of the world healthiest foods is ginger. Ginger helps with digestion and in soothing chest pains. Ginger is also a flu fighting food.

  1. Living Healthy is hard, but very beneficial. You have to learn to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like, and do what you won't rather do (Exercise) to stay Healthy....
