Doubts, Worrying and Murmuring.

Doubts, worrying and murmuring shortens the wonders of God in the life of a person. The children of Israel were supposed to journey to the promise land for 40 days however, as a result of their murmurs, doubts and worries, a journey of 40 days became a journey of 40 years. God made them go in cycles for 40 years without them knowing it (Numbers 14:34). The funny thing about it is that, at the end, out of the millions of people that left Egypt to the promise land, only 2 people saw and entered it (the promise land). Some died along the way (they did not see the promise land) while others saw the promise land but couldn't enter (they died).

Doubts, worries and murmuring tells God only one thing, that He is powerless to do what He says He will do. That He cannot do all things and that there are certain things beyond His capabilities, meanwhile the bible says in Matthew 19:26… ‘’But with God all things are possible’’ and in Luke 1:37 ‘’For with God nothing shall be impossible’’. This is more than a slap on the face of God. This is dragging God’s name, God’s word, God’s integrity on the mud.

A Pastor once said that doubting God or worrying makes God press the reset button in a person’s life journey and this makes the person start his/her life journey all over again, just like the case of the Israelites. Rather than just trusting God and you will get/have that thing which you desire of Him.

Doubts, worries and murmuring doesn't just insult God, it also withdraws ones peace and makes the person have sleepless night. Doubts, worries and murmuring also destroys the life of a person. The heaven and earth is the Lord’s. He governs and rules in the kingdom of men (Daniel 4:17). The Heaven is His throne and the earth His footstool (Isaiah 66:1). In Heaven, He is God and on earth He reigns forever. He sees and knows tomorrow (Psalm 139). His eyes are like a consuming fire and His voice is like the sound of many oceans, His countenance is much brighter than the sun (Revelation 1). He is, He was and He is to come. The Heaven, the earth and all that are in it are His. He is higher than the highest, better than the best, wiser than the wisest and greater than the greatest.

If God is all these and so much more, is it worth it dragging His name on the mud and going in cycles in the journey of life because of doubts, worries and murmuring? The answer is NO. So why not trust God, believe God. He is a man of His word. He said Heaven and earth will pass away but His word will not pass away (Matthew 24:35 and Luke 21:33). The bible says that God honours His word more than His name (Psalm 138: 2b). Remember, the name of God is so powerful, if God honours His word more than His name that means no matter what, He will surely come through for you, that means no matter what He will surely act on His promises, remember that He is a faithful God (Deuteronomy 7:9 and 2 Timothy 2:13).

It is therefore time lovely people to prove God by His word, relax and watch Him take over. Allow God take the wheels and have the back seat and He will drive you to your desired destination for He is a faithful God (Deuteronomy 7:9).
